Your information

What this site knows about you

Short, because there is not much to say: this site has no form and asks you for nothing. Here are the details anyway, including what goes to Google if you allow it.

What this site does not ask you for

There is no form on this site. Not your name, not your email, not your phone number. You can go through all of it — the four cabins, the photos, the reviews, the local guides — without ever leaving us anything.

To reach us there is a phone number and an email address at the foot of every page. Using them is your call, and we then keep only what you write to us.

Measurement cookies

Only one thing may be stored on your device, and only if you accept it: cookies from Google Ads and Google Analytics.

Until you answer the banner, they are denied. That is not a turn of phrase: refusal is the site’s starting state, set before Google’s code even loads. If you decline, or if you never answer at all, nothing is stored.

Your choice is kept in your browser, under the name “cn-consentement”. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us. You can change it whenever you like: the “Cookies” link at the foot of every page reopens the banner.

What Google receives, if you accept

Nothing more than this:

  • the pages you open and the time you spend on them;
  • the region you are coming from — the city, never the address;
  • your device type, browser and language;
  • the site, search engine or ad that brought you here;
  • whether you clicked “See availability and prices”, and for which cabin.

What Google does not receive

Your name, your email, your phone number, your address. We do not have them — the site never asks — so we cannot pass them on, not even by mistake.

These measurements serve two purposes and nothing else: knowing which pages are useful to you, and knowing whether our advertising is worth what it costs. We do not sell them and we share them with no one.

Booking happens elsewhere

When you click “See availability and prices”, you leave this site. Choosing dates, your contact details and payment all happen on checkout.lodgify.com, at Lodgify, which is our booking system.

It is a different domain, with its own privacy policy. What you enter there — name, email, card number — never passes through this site. We then find it in our Lodgify dashboard, so we can prepare your stay and write to you.

This data leaves Québec

Québec law asks us to say this plainly, so here it is: three companies process data on our behalf, and none of them is in Québec.

  • Vercel — the hosting for this site. United States.
  • Google — Ads and Analytics. United States.
  • Lodgify — the booking system. Spain, in the European Union.

How long we keep it

Browsing measurements are kept for fourteen months by Google Analytics, then erased automatically.

Booking records stay at Lodgify for as long as our accounting obligations require — six years after the fiscal year in question.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it erased. Write to info@chaletsnordiques.ca: Jonathan is the one who answers.

The person responsible for the protection of personal information is Jonathan Filiatrault, reachable at the same address.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

If this page changes

We will update it right here, and the date at the foot of the page will change. We will not add a measurement tool without saying so and without asking you again.
